DUVCW Membership
Eligibility: We are women who are direct lineal (blood line) descendants of honorably discharged soldiers and sailors who served in the Union Army, Navy, or Marine Corps and Revenue Cutter Service during the Rebellion of 1861 – 1865, and those who died or were killed while serving in the armed services of the Union between April 12, 1861, and April 9, 1865. The minimum age for membership is 8.
Application Process: To apply for membership you must complete an application and submit it along with acceptable documentation that proves your lineal relationship to your Civil War Ancestor and proof of your ancestor's service to the Union. Examples of acceptable proofs are listed on our our national website along with instructions for the application process, and a practice application. Final submission, along with any associated fees and dues, is on an approved form that can be obtained by contacting a tent in your area or by contacting our national organization.
